18B20 Waterproof temperature sensor

Key Specifications:

  • Temperature Range: -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to +257°F).
  • Accuracy: ±0.5°C (over -10°C to +85°C).
  • Interface: 1-Wire protocol (requires only one digital pin).
  • Resolution: Selectable 9 to 12 bits.
  • Power: 3.0V to 5.5V (can use “parasite power” from data line).
  • Unique ID: Each sensor has a unique 64-bit serial code.
  • Probe: Stainless steel, waterproof.
  • Features: Temperature-limit alarm, multi-drop capability (multiple sensors on one pin).

Physical & Wiring:

  • Wires: Typically Red (VCC), Black (GND), Yellow/White (Data).
  • Pull-up Resistor: A 4.7kΩ resistor is required between the data line and VCC.
